Welcome Walkers to the 2020
Virtual Walk
We remember that they lived... for hours, days or years.
We acknowledge the "hole" they have left in our lives is real and our grief is as unique as they (were).
Under the same full moon we come together and feel their presence and the presence of each of us.
Making Your 2020 Walk Commemorative Lantern:
Thank you to Terri Viola-Wilson for leading us through the activity.

Home Hospice Association will share with you a special walk day page. On this page you will be able enjoy a special tribute video that features are those we are walking in memory of. When you are ready to begin your evening (we suggest 7:00 pm ) we invite you click onto the page and watch our video.
At the end of the video we will recite a Reflection and the words of the reflection will be on the page for you to read along with us. Then we invite you to begin your walk.

Before you begin your walk, if comfortable, why not take a short video clip or connect with your social media. Sharing live via Facebook or Instagram gives us an extra chance for us to together under our one full moon.
Whether you are walking in a bubble of one walking in a family bubble of a few more, consider stopping your walk at 7:30 and looking up at what is bound to be beautiful October moon. This is as time to say a special thank you to the loved you are walking for and remember in your heart who they were to you in life!

When you return from your walk we hope you will send along photos you may have taken along your walk. If you email directly to tracey@homehospiceassociation.com we will upload as soon as we receive them and by refreshing your page every 10 minutes from 8:00 to 8:45 you will see more of each other!
As a special addition to our walk for 2020 we will also have the opportunity to participate in a Grief Yoga Session thanks to Ross McKeachie, Community Director & Assistant Teacher Trainer, Arkaya Awareness Centre www.arkaya.net
Some may choose to participate in the yoga session instead of walking, others may choose to participate after their walk!

While it will be hard for us not to physically be together we will be united in hearts and spirit and can all look forward to October 20, 2021 when we hope that this most unusual year is behind us and we can be together in our communities.
