Loss Hearts

by Colleen Breen

Loss leaves a pain in our hearts that takes time to heal or at least to allow us to move forward with the love of that special someone tucked deep within our hearts.  As special days or moments come and go, missing loved ones can be even more profound.  Creating ways of honoring their memory and healing our hearts may bring meaning and hope in the midst of sadness and despair.

Please join us in creating your own Loss Heart to honour your loved one and to symbolically stitch your broken heart back together again.  With each stitch, we remember, we mourn, we honour, we heal, and we create new hope together.

Along with demonstrating the creation of Loss Hearts, Colleen will share other special ways of honouring and remembering our loved ones.   This is a perfect opportunity for participants of any age.

Materials will be shared upon registering as a participant to the Moonlit Memory Walk.

PAWcasso Studio

by Terri Viola-Wilson

Your pet is an important part of your life so why not capture their pawprint on canvas?

An important part of this art project is to decide on your theme. What comes to mind when you think about your relationship with your pet? What are you passionate about? That forms the base of your artwork which is done in permanent marker. Leave a space for your pet's pawprint! Once your canvas is ready, you carefully paint the pads of your pet's paw and press it onto the canvas and voila! Your PAWcasso print is done!

About our Workshop Host: Terri Viola-Wilson is Home Hospice Association’s Hamilton Halton Chapter Champion and Program Manager for C.A.N.D.Y. Café. From the first day Terri joined in on Googler Doodler Day to the many events and many paws she has painted, her love for animals and art has shone through.

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

As a proud member of the Home Hospice Association, Phylicia will be hosting a workshop on self-expression through collage.

Collaging is a form of art making that allows the person to choose from already-created words and images from magazines, books, posters, stickers and other memorabilia.  Collaging is a great way for people to freely choose words and imagery that reflect their unconscious thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Materials will be shared upon registering as a participant to the Moonlit Memory Walk.

Legacy Trees

by Angela Lee

Angela will be hosting a 1 hour online class to lead a group of interested people to making family legacy "trees".  This not only engages interested participants to make their own family tree, but helps to show the legacy in their own blood line that they can be proud of.  It will consist of Angela leading the class through painting family trees on canvas to create their own keepsake legacy piece of art, that they can proudly display on their walls if they choose to.  If you like creating crafts and would like your own take home work of art, please sign up for a spot to participate in this fun activity!

Materials will be shared upon registering as a participant to the Moonlit Memory Walk.
