Heide Emrich is walking for her father in law,

Traugott Emrich

Dad was born between the first and second world wars in the rolling farmlands of Transylvania in a small village called Passbusch.  Er war ein Sohn Siebenbürgens.  He was born into a time of rich traditions, strong family bonds and strong community forged by the need to stay loyal to one another, help each other, work hard, celebrate together, live and die together. When the front lines of WWII drew ever closer, his family fled Romania through Hungary, to Austria, and finally to Canada in 1953.

He made his final home in Mannheim, Ontario, a beautiful magical property, where he lived out the values he had learned so early in life, and shared these with his family - working hard: building a home, farming, raising livestock all while holding a full time job at Schneider’s; living life to the fullest through family celebrations, picnics, singing and playing harmonica with fullest heart; and lovingly helping to raise his grandchildren. I am so grateful for your selfless giving!

I miss you Dad!
