Your 2023 Fundraising Dollars at Work
Since 2017, more than 2000 people have moved toward their mortality by participating in Home Hospice Association events. In the same spirit that “just as it takes a village to raise a child”, that village is equally necessary to be there at the end of life.

Since 2019, through building relationships with partner agencies to mobilize Home Hospice Association trained Death Doulas, Infant & Pregnancy Loss Doulas and Compassionate Caregivers, we have been helping solve the problem of 84% of those living in Canada who do not have access to equitable hospice or palliative care.
Since 2018 over 500 people have been trained by Home Hospice Association, and provided with the knowledge and skills to ease the suffering of our dying and those who love them
Since 2020, we have provided 20 scholarships for Home Hospice Association’s Infant & Pregnancy Loss Training so that when labour leads to loss, professional caregivers are available, even in the most remote communities, to ease the suffering of those experiencing the loss.
Everything changed with COVID, and in spite of the challenges, Moonlit Memory Walk funding has been helping Home Hospice Association to continue our pilot programs to fill the greatest gaps in care for those facing death. The pandemic has shown us the need to get creative to expand services to ensure that regardless of where someone may live, how marginalized or isolated they may be… no one will die alone or in distress.
