Host a Walk
Help Home Hospice Association (HHA) make quality compassionate end-of-life care a reality for every dying member of your community by bringing Moonlit Memory Walk to where you call home.
When you host a walk, not only are you making an essential contribution to HHA’s big-picture mission and vision to support anyone, at any time, of any age, under any roof, but you also have the chance to directly impact the availability of compassionate end-of-life care and support in your very own community. That’s because, as the Host of your walking location, you have the opportunity to designate where your location's fundraising dollars will go.​

It’s easy! Simply fill out our Host a Walk Application. Once your location has been approved, you will:

Register for the walk either as an individual or a team, and start fundraising!

Promote your walk location by reaching out to your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours, or other social networks

Create an event experience using the Moonlit Memory Host Kit provided

Confirm your event schedule and details with us
You will receive your Moonlit Memory Host Kit once your walk location has been approved. The kit includes:

Instructions for how to build the event schedule and details
-
Marketing ideas to help you promote your walk
-
Suggested poems to read at the start of the walk

Legacy questions that participants can use during the walk to start conversations
Hosts will also receive gifts for each walker and prize packages for the three top walker-fundraisers in their location:

Participants who raise a minimum of $50.00 receive a lantern, battery operated candle and tag to personalize

Participants who raise a minimum of $75.00 receive, in addition to above, an HHA-branded mug
-
Participants who raise a minimum of $100.00 receive, in addition to above, an HHA "Fandana"
