Why We Walk
We walk for Eric — a little boy who lived every moment with wonder, joy, and love.
We walk so that families facing the unimaginable are not left to grieve alone.

Eric Elliott was just shy of 15 months old when he died in a backyard drowning accident in August 2022. In that short time, he filled the world with laughter, cuddles, curiosity, and a light that still lingers. He adored his older siblings. He loved snuggling close. He left an indelible mark on every heart he touched.

In honour of his life and legacy, Eric’s family including his grandmother Tammy Elliott, a cherished member of Home Hospice Association’s Death Doula community established the Eric Elliott Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund supports the training of Infant and Pregnancy Loss Support (IPLS) Workers, who serve through HHA’s Pre & Perinatal Hospice Program — walking alongside families whose children die from the point of conception through the first two years of life.

This work is emotionally complex and deeply sacred. The need is urgent. And no family should ever face it alone.
